Even though we watched the devastating famine in the Horn of Africa last year, there is another escalating famine, this time in western Africa.

The crisis will “escalate into a full scale humanitarian emergency” if urgent action is not taken, Oxfam said in a statement.

The United Nations has put a call out for $720 million dollars to feed those in risk of starvation in the Sahel region of Africa.
