Empowering Women and Girls – Half the Sky Movement

,

I just finished watching the trailer for the Half the Sky documentary based on the award-winning book written by New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof and his wife Sheryl WuDunn. After watching it, I am moved to do even more for women and girls around the world.

The documentary will air on PBS on October 1 and 2. The series follows Kristof and celebrity activists America Ferrera, Diane Lane, Eva Mendes, Meg Ryan, Gabrielle Union and Olivia Wilde as they travel throughout the developing world to introduce women and girls who are living under some of the most difficult circumstances imaginable—and fighting bravely to change them.

Please watch and share through your networks. It’s quite remarkable.
