As the date nears for the London Family Planning Summit more information is being spread through social media via summit partners about the importance of providing 220 million additional women in developing countries with the option of having greater control over when to have children, how many children to have, how long to space births, and whether they want children at all.
The summit will challenge developing nations to put greater efforts into providing widespread access to family planning and donors, NGOs, civil society, the private sector will be challenged to come up with a plan to support these developing countries.
Here are some tweets with key facts about family planning. Be sure to follow the #fpsummit hashtag for more information. And log onto www.londonfamilyplanningsummit.com on July 11 to watch a live stream of the summit.
